Department: Garden Grille & Bar Restaurant
Position: Restaurant Bus Person
Status: Full Time: 1 vacancy early mornings or late nights, weekend and holiday availability
Report to: Restaurant Manager/Assistant Restaurant Managers
Wage $19.47/hr as per Collective Agreement
Credentials required:
· Food Handlers Certificate
· Smart Serve
· Experience and asset
Skills:
· Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of glass doors and windows, etc.
· Collect and maintain cleanliness of restaurant menus
· Maintain communication with management, kitchen staff, service staff to ensure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service
· Demonstrate thorough knowledge of restaurant offerings
· Promptly greet guests as they are seated, bring bread, butter and water to table
· Remove used tableware between courses and aid in providing tableware for next course.
· Take used tableware to dish washing area, unload, sort, and stack silverware, dishes, and glassware in designated areas in the used dish drop off area
· Between seating’s, promptly clean and reset tables, clean chairs and booths
· Check floor and clean as required
· Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
- Handle guest enquiries
Additional Skills:
· Customer service oriented; Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.
· Assist restaurant staff with lobby coffee and water stations
· Load and unload glasswasher
· Assist with tray and plate clearing from hallways
· Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas; Replace linen.
· Essential Skills: Reading text;

- Have knowledge of hotel fire and safety procedures.
