Position Overview:
The Server will work as a part of the Restaurant Operations team to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience during their visit to Social Thirty-One. The key responsibility of this role will be to undertake table service duties, ensuring all guests requests and needs are met and exceeded to influence genuine lifetime experiences.
Job Functions:
- Welcoming and seating guests comfortably in the dining section.
- Taking guests’ food and beverage orders with an awareness of guest allergies and how to adjust menu offerings accordingly.
- Issuing bills and processing payment.
- Menu expertise; recommending appetizers, meals, desserts and drinks.
- Enhance diner experience utilizing cross-sell and up-sell techniques.
- Strive to deliver a genuine memorable dining experience; resolving all guest issues promptly.
- Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant.
- Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events.
- Ensuring server and host stations are cleaned and restocked before, during and at the close of each shift.
- Collaborate with managers as well as other servers and kitchen staff.
- Provide shift coverage and support to Bartending and/or Expo/Host positions, as needed.
- Assist Restaurant and Beverage Manager, or other managers on-duty in response to emergencies.
- Take out the garbage and recycle.
Requirements:
- Completion or expected completion of high school education.
- Smart serve certification required.
- Previous food-serving experience is an asset.
- Reliable transportation required.
Skills/Abilities:
- High attention to detail.

- Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- High-level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods of time.
