Looking for local candidates for this this on-site role at Cambridge, ON and In-person interview is mandatory. Depending on project needs, travel is required for this role at other sites in USA, Canada and Mexico – 50% approximately. Need to work Overtime on Weekend as well. 5+ Years of experience.
What you’ll be doing:
- Looking for someone who has Ability to navigate PLC’s and PC controls, including troubleshooting skills.
- Current understanding of PC’s and operating electrical and mechanical drawings systems in industrial control. Will support existing Robotics and PLC Seibi and will take over responsibilities as the project progresses.
- A highly motivated, well organized, critical thinker and a reliable individual capable of PLC and Robot programming as well as troubleshooting modern machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The candidate must have experience in the following:
- Ability to navigate PLC’s and PC controls, including troubleshooting skills.
- Current understanding of PC’s and operating electrical and mechanical drawings systems in industrial control
- PLC understanding and be able to make program changes.
- Be able to program a robot with end effector to perform tasks such as pick and place
- Perform basic troubleshooting using standard electrical/mechanical equipment, detailed drawings, and machine manuals.
- Will be supporting major model changes at Woodstock and Cambridge plants
- Will support existing Robotics and PLC Seibi and will take over responsibilities as the project progresses
- Will take on role of Seibi for post processes (End Mill, Vibration Welding) after Instrument Panel injection molding
- Would be supporting pre-production activities for plastics molds and or equipment as follows:
- Injection/slush/monofoam molding, endmill, Universal Milling or vibration weld machine
- Programming multi-axis robots for take-out devices, air bag cut machine, trim machine, universal punch or End-Mill machine
- Data collection/analysis as required by process area
- Part measurement via microscope and/or calipers
- Perform “hands-on” Seibi tasks as needed to complete work objective.
- Candidate should be data driven and detail oriented
- Should have good Excel, PowerPoint, general MS office and computer skills
- Should be able to navigate SharePoint.

Bonus if you have:
- Experience in Plastics Injection Mold maintenance, Injection Molding Machine Operation & Processing,
- Experience with welding and fabrication
- Additional related certifications
- Associate's degree in related field, or equivalent experience
