About Northern Lights Public Schools
A unique assembly of sprawling lakes that lie under the stunning Aurora Borealis in northeastern Alberta; this is the area that Northern Lights Public Schools calls home.
We have nearly 6,000 students enrolled in schools throughout the Division for the 2020-2021 school year, and we offer a wide range of programs to accommodate all students and parents, including home education, out-of-school care, and preschool programs.
Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for the following position:
S2324-97 - Contribution Agreement Services Officer - Division Office
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position commencing as soon as possible. We are seeking a Contribution Agreement Services Officer to provide support to the Student Support Team(s) Coordinators, Administrators, and Division Office staff as required. Which includes planning, researching, compiling data analysis for messages, submissions, reporting for our Contribution Agreements.. Interest applicants must have a high degree of initiative, independence and good judgement
Responsibilities of the Student Support Services Officer Include:
Use of a variety of software to produce documentation, minutes of meetings, meeting agendas, communications, administration, files, record keeping and accounting
Receive, review and share referrals relevant to health pathways, SLP/OT/Educational Psychologist, and contract service providers supporting the Contribution Agreement
Answering incoming phone calls in a polite and professional manner and accurately taking messages
Manage, track and purchase educational support resources and materials
Assist with administrative supports for budget maintenance and monitoring
Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to set and meet deadlines
Liaise and collaborate with Administrators, Student Support Team Coordinators and Division Office Staff as appropriate in the administration of Contribution Agreement
Preference will be given to applicants who possess:
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or a related field
3 years experience in a related position
Proficiency in Google Platforms and Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of PowerSchool Atrieve ERP platform
Proven problem solving, conflict resolution and communications skills
Working knowledge of relevant legislation and NLPS board policies and admin procedures (AP)s
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with flexibility and adaptability
Respect and understanding of Indigenous Ways of Knowing
