THE ROLE:
Sales Manager, Canada


The Sales Manager, Canada, is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in their respective region (Canada) and channel(s) for Every Man Jack™. A proactive attitude and the ability to deliver consistently within a values-driven company with frequently evolving priorities are crucial to the role. Under supervision of the Sales Director, the Sales Manager oversees our brokers and key retailers and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with the company vision and values. This position has key new business priorities, allowing you to be a strong contributor to the overall growth of the Region (Canada).


The Sales Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales with additional support and direction from Sales Planning and other cross-functional partners. Opportunities for new experiences to demonstrate leadership and growth are limitless.


BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

  • Contribute to sales strategy and ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability in region (Canada).
  • Evaluate, develop and implement new business opportunities across existing and new channels.
  • Own broker relationships and account management for key retailers in the region, including preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Collaborate with other Sales Directors, Managers, and Sales Planning to grow topline sales and build brand together.
  • Travel as necessary for retailer meetings with Brokers to grow sales and secure new distribution for Every Man Jack.
  • Provide timely feedback on performance and other initiative updates.

FORECASTING & PLANNING

  • Lead development of forecasts by item/month, utilizing information from POS and order data analysis, coupled with business intelligence including promotions, assortment updates, competitive activity, and growth objectives.
  • Develop annual shipment plan [internal] and consumption plan [external] with known headwinds, tailwinds and stretch upsides in partnership with Sales Director.
  • Own trade management, working to drive growth while maintaining trade budget rate and improve profitability at key accounts.
  • Work with retailer planning team to manage optimal inventory levels for new launches, seasonal items, and off-shelf programs.

DATA ANALYSIS & SALES PRESENTATIONS

  • Analyze syndicated and account-specific POS data to determine key business trends and actionable recommendations for business opportunities to support growth.
  • Develop effective presentations that outline current market conditions, category trends, customer needs, consumer insights, and our competitive advantages.
  • Incorporate the 4Ps for a full 360 approach to business management & marketing support.

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally. While this candidate loves timelines and hitting key milestones, also has a remarkable ability to remain calm and flexible in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, high growth collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be an intelligent team player – someone approachable with a positive, innovative, and professional attitude who works smarter, not harder, and takes on a “sleeves-rolled-up” and a “can-do” attitude when faced with challenges. A true ambassador for EMJ, both internally and externally.


CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Min. 3 years of account management experience in a fast-paced sales environment in CPG, personal care preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience in Canada, across Grocery, Club, DIY + Specialty Channels considered an asset
  • A natural problem solver at heart with a genuine interest in learning by helping
  • Incredibly bright, high-drive individual, with a passion to learn, contribute and take initiative
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and ability to excel in remote sales environment with limited oversight
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight timeframes and deadlines
  • Ability to assess data, integrate into selling stories and leverage it to grow our business
  • Proven track record of delivering consistent positive business results
  • Strong technical skills: We use the Google suite complimenting Microsoft

LOCATION: Remote, Canada

HOURS: Full Time, Exempt, Salaried

MANAGER: Director of Sales, Canada
