Overview
The sandblaster position is required for one of the final stages of precast concrete production. This individual will be required to use sandblastings techniques to finish precast elements. The applicant must have a good eye for consistency. Knowledge of compressors and sandblasting techniques is an asset.
Responsibilities
- The right candidate will have blasting experience with sand, glass or water, on pre-cast concrete panels
- They will have experience driving a heavy-duty work truck
- Shotblasting experience would be an asset, but willing to train
- Reliable transportation to work
Qualifications
- Forklift Licence an asset. Not required.

Education Required:
- High School Diploma
Years of Experience
- Less than 1 year to less than 2 years in the construction or concrete industry
Specific Experience
- Self-starter with an excellent work ethic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Sandblasting: 1 year (preferred)
Competencies
- Maintain a high level of safety at all times
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment
- Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including Saturdays
- Able to work unsupervised, motivated to complete all tasks
- Able to communicate, and work well with others in a team environment
- Repetitive tasks
- Always maintain a professional attitude, especially when handling stressful situations
Own Tools/Equipment
- Steel-toed safety boots
Working Conditions
- Wage: $24.15-$26.15 per hour
- Unionized, permanent, Full-time, 44 hours/week
