We are seeking a Manager- SAP Master Data Governance Specialist. To address the shifting landscape of our clients' needs, EY has established a national Center of Excellence focusing in the broad topics of Enterprise Intelligence, Risk Transformation, IT Risk, and Enabling Technologies. Enabling Technologies primarily focuses on the design and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) packages like SAP, Oracle, and others. Our team typically works with Fortune 1000 clients across a variety of industries including, Manufacturing, Pharma, Energy/Utilities, Transportation, Telecommunications, Entertainment/Media, Oil/Gas and Consumer Goods/Retail.

Your Key Responsibilities
As a Manager, you'll be responsible for the following:
Project Management: The roles and responsibilities within our SAP group are to provide professional and effective functional or technical consulting services as they pertain to our SAP practice. Consistently deliver quality client services, driving high-quality work products within the expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business. Should be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable interfacing with a client on a daily basis. This role requires daily interaction with the client at many levels.
- Providing input and advice regarding SAP capabilities and functions to customer organizations.
- Building positive client and peer relationships by developing an understanding of customer's business and project scope.
- Developing exposure to multiple sub-areas within Ernst & Young Canada
- Assisting with the orientation of new team members.
Responsibilities specific to SAP Master Data Governance role:
- Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge in in executing various functional and technical aspects of SAP MDG projects following industry best practices involving Data Modelling, Process Modelling, UI Modelling, Business Validation - Rules Modelling, Derivations, and Data Replication Framework (DRF).
- Good understanding of the SAP Master Data principles and technical background to implementing SAP MDG across various data domains Material, BP (Customer, & Supplier), Finance
- Having an understanding of the available solutions/add ons for SAP MDG such as EAM, AIW, RFM etc.,
- Hands-on experience in configuring finance, customer, vendor, and product/material Master Data, MDG add-ons EAM, AIW including data harmonization involving de-duplication, mass changes, and data replication involving Key/Value mapping, SOA Web services, ALE/Idoc.
- Basic understanding of SAP MDG technical framework includes Workflows, BRF+, Enterprise Services, IDoc, Floorplan Manager, Web DynPro, Fiori, and MDG API framework
- Coordinate and effectively communicate with business process stakeholders to ensure that the proper business context and impact are considered in discussions.
- Collaborate with Business Unit aligned personnel, such as Data Domain Leads and Data Stewards to prepare the deliverables for review and approval by the working groups
- Fully understand Master Data, specifically where it is sourced and authored from Business and IT stand-point
- Identify both producers and consumers of Master Data and how the data will be used for reporting and analytics
Skills and attributes for success
- Comprehensive knowledge of data management and principles sufficient to analyze and interpret complex concepts
- Capacity to work in a non-structured environment and drive building structure related to Data Governance processes
- Well-developed communication skills including precise articulation of ideas and opinions in order to prepare detailed business cases and proposals
- Strategic thinking and solutions oriented and ability to develop and create innovative solutions to critical business or organizational data issues
To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor' s Degree with 8-10 years of experience implementing SAP MDG on S/4
- 3-4 E2E MDG implementation experience including setting up the MDG and configuring the system.
- SAP functional background is a plus
