We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our busy team.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting - Ownership of the month end Balance Sheet reconciliation file assuring all account balances are clearly understood and supported by documented reconciliations.
• Operational Results Reporting - Compilation and analysis of multi-location monthly results, supporting site managers understanding of results to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Cash Management - Weekly customer collection forecast and outgoing cash requirements planning. The ability to mentor the functional AR / AP teams including supporting collection escalations and dispute resolution. Validation of supplier invoices and approval of supplier payments.
• Government Remittance Management - Filing monthly HST return, multi provincial WCB administration.
• Supporting Internal Controls Environment - Assisting in the development, testing and improvement of the company’s internal controls.
• Year End Reporting - Supporting the year end audit and year end closing cycles.
• Other related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Business Administration
• Possession of Accounting Designation or equivalent experience
• 5+ years accounting experience
• 2+ years’ experience of managing direct reports

Working Conditions:

• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
• Available in the office daily Monday to Friday 7AM – 4PM
• Long periods of sitting
