Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing Canadian and US payroll
• Overseeing billing and Accounts receivable for Canada and US
• Overseeing Project Accounting and Revenue Recognition for Canada & US
• Managing monthly account reconciliations and processing of journal entries
• Coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of regulatory reporting including HST, EHT, WSIB, and T4’s
• Assist with Cost Accounting including product and job costing, inventory obsolescence and margin analysis
• Support the controller to ensure an accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial close process
• Assist with the inventory cycle counts and annual physical counts
• Assist in the annual preparation budget and periodic forecasts
• Others as needed & assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in job/project environment and costing is preferred
• Advanced Microsoft skills
• Experience with various ERP systems including the ability to quickly learn new ERP
• Understanding of Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Accounting
• Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to keep focus on company objectives

Education:

• Completion of a University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
• 3 - 5 years of experience in a mid-level accounting role

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
