KEY REPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage the financial activities and accounting functions
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct regular financial reporting and analysis to provide insights and support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Manage and coordinate the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the accounting function
- Participate in strategic financial planning and contribute to the overall business objectives of the company
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Proven experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, and budgeting
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of accounting professionals
- Solid understanding of inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Experience in implementing and improving internal controls and processes
- Familiarity with tax compliance and reporting for manufacturing operations
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information effectively
