Job Description:
CTA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant/Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a proven track record of managing full accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and supporting or leading general controller duties. This position requires a strategic mindset, the ability to handle day-to-day financial responsibilities independently, and a dedication to maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
2. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
3. Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
4. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Support or lead the preparation of annual budgets, audits, and tax filings.
7. Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to recommend and implement process improvements.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
· Proficiency in accounting software and knowledge of Ajera, Deltek Vision and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
· Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience in the architectural or construction industry is a plus.
