SENIOR ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Victoria
Term Certain – 6 months

You are a results-oriented team player, with sound judgement and problem-solving skills. Working in a fast-paced and demanding environment, you process invoices and payments; reconcile payments and general ledger accounts; provide analysis of invoice related data; prepare journal entries; and participate in system/business process changes. You promptly and courteously respond to internal and external inquiries regarding the status of invoices and cheques, and produce reports as required.

You use MS Word and Excel at the intermediate to advanced level, have strong oral and written communication skills, pay attention to detail and are knowledgeable in standard accounts payable practices, computerized accounts payable systems and accounting and auditing principles. You independently manage time and set priorities for multiple and simultaneous assignments while analyzing various documents to determine accuracy and compliance with standard accounts payable practices and Company policy.

You possess a post secondary diploma in business administration, accounting, or equivalent (e.g. second level CGA). You have 3 - 5 years’ experience working in a financial environment coupled with at least 2 years’ experience working in an accounts payable environment.
