ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Payroll and Workload team is responsible for setting the Canadian stores up for success while driving efficiencies and optimizations. As a Senior Analyst, you will partner cross-functionally with retail operations, HR, and Finance and are responsible for the appropriate labor investments across our stores to drive the best client and employee experience. You have a natural curiosity for digging into information to gain business insights to support the development and adaptation of strategies.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Conduct monthly payroll analyses and supervise trends weekly in the Canadian market to understand opportunities and risks; provide updates to the business via key functional meetings.
- Build and update business models to size potential business opportunities and strategic priorities through positive relationship with key partners cross functionally and cross border.
- Prepare data and trend analysis for weekly and monthly reporting, including financial (Payroll and KPIs) and operational content and share insights cross functionally.
- Ownership of ad hoc analysis to support cross functional strategic priorities.
- Develop and implement improvements to business processes and tools.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization including non-finance personnel and the executive level
- Proven success in critical thinking and decision-making; understanding when to seek assistance
- Bachelor's degree in finance or business is highly preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of related FP&A or financial reporting experience; Retail or CPG industry experience preferred
- Advanced expertise Excel and Financial Systems. SQL and Tableau skills are an asset
- Strong modelling skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
