What is the opportunity?
As part of the RBC Global Asset Management (GAM) Application Resiliency team, you will be responsible for the upkeep of all RBC GAM's applications. You will be responsible for timely incident resolution and change implementation. You will also get involved directly or request coordination of resources from other technical and the business teams in the group.

- Collaboration with Data Teams: You'll work closely with our esteemed data team and other stakeholders. Your mission? Deeply comprehend their data requirements and provide unwavering support for data solutions tailored precisely to their needs.
- Pipeline Stewardship: Brace yourself for the intricacies of data pipelines. Your role? To nurture both fledgling and established pipelines. But that's not all—you'll also be the architect of enhancement, suggesting refinements and modifications that elevate our data flow.
- Data Precision Assurance: Imagine a surgeon's precision, but with data. Your task? To ensure pinpoint accuracy and unwavering consistency in data processing, results, and reporting. No room for error; only excellence.
- Glitch Resolution Sentinel: When digital hiccups occur, you're the first responder. Picture this: You're huddled over Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace, dissecting anomalies. Inbound calls? Check. Emails? Check. ServiceNow tickets? Double-check. You're the guardian of seamless production support.
- Holistic System Vigilance: You don't just monitor; you survey the entire landscape. Availability? It's your compass. System health? You're the vigilant custodian, ensuring every pixel thrives. It's like safeguarding a digital ecosystem.
- Batch Job Oversight: Those production batch jobs? You're their backstage conductor. You ensure they perform their routines flawlessly, like seasoned artists hitting their cues. Encore? Absolutely!
- Technical Diplomacy: When tech storms brew, you're the diplomat extraordinaire. Engage with operations and support experts, speaking their binary language. Together, untangle knots, resolve issues, and restore equilibrium.
- Service Excellence Commitment: Client expectations? You've etched them in stone. Services? They flow seamlessly, like a well-rehearsed symphony. Service Level Agreement? Consider it your sacred pact. You're the guardian of uptime, unwavering and steadfast.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have.
- Experience in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Strong Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL solutions
- Excellent collaboration skills and proven ability to adapt to challenges, coaching and mentoring.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, including conceptual, requirements interpretation, solution creation and problem-solving abilities.
- Production support experience.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools: Dynatrace Managed, Catchpoint, Splunk
- A good understanding of Change / Incident management processes
- Ability to work in a 7x24x365 work environment.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with data technologies & tools (Hadoop etc.)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift for efficient deployment of applications
- Knowledge of cloud platform applications and processes
- In-depth hands-on experience in a variety of SRE tools
