The role
The Senior Business Analyst (BA) will work closely with internal business and IT stakeholders to perform detailed and comprehensive specialized business analysis and highly complex system analysis to ensure both business and technology needs are met.
In this role, you will:
- Develop requirements plan. Elicit, define, and write business and system requirements
- Conduct and facilitate stakeholder meetings with business and technical teams in order to analyze and clarify complex requirements
- Write concise business value assessments to articulate business value of a technology change for approval by senior executives
- Provide production support services (triage, root cause analysis, impact analysis, resolution)
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of out-of-box Guidewire capabilities (PolicyCenter and Claims Center) in order to communicate opportunities and constraints
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to support and provide input to high level solution design, business analytics (data and reporting), and test scenarios and plans.
- Write decision requests, information notes, and delivery plans to support decision making
Salary range: $78,030 - $91,800
Work status: Full time in office, remote and hybrid work arrangements are available
Location: Must live and work in Ontario to perform this role
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years Business Analysis experience conducting complex business analysis business requirements and IT specifications Business area experience and/or background in insurance, finance or government programs an asset
- Specialized subject matter expertise in Guidewire (Policy Center and Claims Center) an asset
- Experience working in scaled agile delivery (SAFe) an asset
- CCBA (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis) or CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional) is an asset
- Guidewire analyst certification an asset
- Agricorp program knowledge an asset
