Senior Business Analyst

Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst to join a client in Mississauga on a Hybrid basis (1, maximum 2 days per week on-site). In this role, the BA will be overseeing a critical and confidential data project focused on replacing one vendor with another. The transition involves updating processes, incorporating APIs, and defining the project scope urgently. Note: there may be two projects in consideration, the director is exploring possibilities of 2 projects, thus the ideal candidate will be able to work on multiple projects at once. The responsibilities will encompass requirements gathering, some testing, and mapping/diagramming to understand the flow. The Senior BA will be instrumental in documenting infrastructural and logistical transfers, collaborating with the team to drive solutions, and providing crucial input into the project's two-fold nature.
Approximately 40% of their time will be dedicated to API mapping, ensuring a seamless integration within the Cloud AWS environment. Documentation will occupy 50% of their efforts, involving detailed reporting on project intricacies. While not heavily focused on backlog refinement, they will play a pivotal role in running daily stand-ups and sprints, incorporating a dash of Scrum Master duties.
The primary focus will be driving solutions and creating diagrams, reflecting the importance of your role in shaping the project's trajectory. This position demands a seasoned BA capable of navigating complexities, ensuring successful project outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8-10 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst
- Technical expertise in API mapping from scratch, including elaboration and creation
- Mandatory Cloud AWS expertise, as the project involves APIs and a new solutions/services spun up within the AWS environment
- Experience in large or mid-sized and/or infrastructure projects
- Self-motivated individual capable of working under tight timelines, demonstrating seniority in decision-making and proactivity
- Proficient in identifying gaps without constant supervision
- Experience in managing Scrum ceremonies
