Role: Senior Business Analyst (Data Projects)
Location: Toronto, ON
Working Structure: Hybrid Model (2-3 days per week in office Downtown, Toronto)
Salary: $95,000-$110,000 + benefits + RRSP matching
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 10 years as a Business Analyst, specializing in data reconciliation and analysis.
- Previous involvement in reporting, business analysis, and predictive analytics on a global scale.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, particularly expert-level Excel.
- Expertise in data analysis tools, including Microsoft SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of data reconciliation methodologies, data validation techniques, and data quality frameworks.
- Proven experience managing projects with both functional and technical stakeholders to drive enhancements and innovation.
- Proficient in creating comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, and user guides, supporting the BI function.
- Familiarity with data governance practices, regulatory compliance, and data security standards is nice to have here
What you will do in this role:
Data Reconciliation:
- Conduct comprehensive data reconciliation and validation activities across multiple relational data sources.
- Develop and implement robust data reconciliation methodologies and processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, define reconciliation rules, and establish data quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with the Data Quality team to reconcile data hubs and document downstream flow into reporting.
- Act as the project lead for data reconciliation initiatives, ensuring successful execution within scope, on time, and within budget.
Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of reconciled data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Generate comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders and senior management.
Documentation Management:
- Create and maintain documentation, including processes, data dictionaries, and user guides
- Publish documentation in appropriate repositories for accessibility and usability.
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Act as a subject matter expert on data reconciliation best practices, providing guidance to team members and stakeholders.
Collaboration with IT:
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance data reconciliation tools, systems, and processes.
- Contribute to data governance initiatives.
