Job Description
North America Treasury Operations is recruiting a Senior Business Analyst to support the execution of initiatives that will help drive transformation. Under the guidance of the Project Delivery Director, Treasury Operations, this role will lead business analysis activities for projects including system implementation and enhancements, bank integration and process re-engineering. This role requires strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, eagerness to collaborate, and in-depth payments and banking knowledge.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
  • Lead business analysis activities for all phases of the project life cycle including requirements elicitation, analysis, testing, training, implementation, and post implementation support.
  • Partner with operations, IT, banks and 3rd party vendors to define and implement solutions, execute testing, identify risks and define mitigation strategies.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, identify gaps and reconcile conflicts.
  • Lead effective meetings to understand business priorities, rationalize existing processes, present findings / complex ideas to stakeholders and facilitate decision making.
  • Work collaboratively with project manager and team members in planning and execution of project activities.
  • Assess impacts of system and process changes to upstream and downstream processes, and document data and process flows.
  • Write business requirements and specifications.
  • Define test plan, test matrices, test scenarios and test cases and lead/execute end-to-end testing of ERP systems including payments to banks or via third-party vendors, bank reconciliations and accounting.
  • Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements to testing and solution delivery.
  • Prepare training materials and user guides and deliver training on new / modified system features and processes.
  • Support change management and provide post-implementation warranty support and troubleshooting.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis to identify root cause of issues and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Manager users' expectations and stakeholder partnership
  • Act as a liaison between business users and IT team
  • Provide recommendations to improve Business Analyst and Project Delivery practices.
Qualifications/Competencies
Minimum requirements:
  • 2+ years of operations experience in financial services industry
  • 3+ years of Business Analyst / business system analyst / QA experience in financial services industry
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • Strong Visio, MS Excel skills including experience with using MS Excel Macros and Power Query
Desired skills and experience:
  • Experience in delivering complex projects with multiple teams involving system implementation and business process changes.
  • Professional designation / certification in Business Analysis, Change Management, Process Improvement, Quality Assurance, Project Management are assets.
  • Able to quickly learn complex concepts, processes, systems and technologies via self-directed investigation.
  • Experience in working with ERP systems.
  • Programming / coding skills (e.g., SQL, SAS), experience with Power platform, Power BI, Alteryx, experience with payment file formats including XML and SWIFT ISO20022 file formats is definite assets.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand end-to-end processes.
  • Capacity for constant learning, remaining open to change and continuous improvement.
  • Able and willing to step into tasks outside of his/her role when needed, comfortable with ambiguity; able to establish course of action in environment of conflicting priorities.
  • Project a positive high-energy attitude and establish harmonious working relationships with team members, internal and external stakeholders.

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Toronto, Ontario
Salary range is expected to be between
$68,775.00 CAD - $114,625.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
