About Our Client

Job Description
- Create comprehensive and accurate estimates easily convertible to construction budgets
- Perform quantity take-offs from tender drawings
- Receive project documentation and create estimate breakdown
- Interpret documentation, specifications, and design drawings to define scope/contents of estimates
- Review quotes in detail and make recommendations for award
- Consult with Project Managers about general requirements, construction methodology and schedules during the tender/pre-construction process
- Work with Superintendents and project teams to develop and monitor the project schedule
- Follow up with project success to update future estimates
- Pre-qualify and analyze new vendors for potential use
- Create scopes of work and issue tenders for sub-contracting pricing
- Identify and source the best trades for the jobs at hand
- Negotiate and issue sub-contracts and major purchase orders and monitor their progress and schedule
- Develop risk management strategies for schedules and budgets
- Participate in hard tender closings
- Create and maintain a costing database for future budgeting
- Provide weekly update on all current and upcoming estimates and budgets
- Provide monthly reporting of issued estimates and budgets and track success rates
- Identify project risks, mitigate company exposure to them effectively
- Consider project schedule as well as construction challenges in all estimates
- Proactively follow up on tenders and RFIs
- Post-Project reviews to compare thoroughness and accuracy of construction budget vs. actual cost
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, public and project teams
