The Role
As the Senior Director of Global Operations Excellence for Electrical, Mechanical and Controls, encompassing power supplies, cooling, and control systems, you will play a pivotal role in elevating operational standards across 250+ industrial facilities utilizing these systems. You will lead the development of the vision and strategy of operational excellence in our IBX data centers globally. You think and act innovatively to create the best industry standards to operate the critical facility infrastructure in data centers that support the growth and scalability of the operations function globally. You’ll drive consistency and alignment as well as a customer-first mindset, implementing effective and efficient ways of working. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding and practical experience in Lean Six Sigma or analogous methodologies, fostering operational excellence and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision and Execution:
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for operational excellence within electrical mechanical controls across global industrial facilities.
- Innovate and establish industry-leading standards to optimize operations and scalability.
Operational Analysis and Methodologies:
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma and other relevant methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, TQM, TPS, DMAIC/DMADV, Design Thinking, etc.) to identify improvement opportunities and streamline processes.
- Assess global operational performance, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Process Enhancement and Scalability:
- Collaborate across departments to identify bottlenecks and implement efficient procedures, enhancing operational efficiency and scalability.
- Develop and implement policies ensuring global consistency and effectiveness in maintenance regimes.
Performance Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Regularly report progress to the executive team, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and metrics.
- Collaborate with regional teams to set and maintain industry standards, addressing their strategic objectives.
Leadership and Change Management:
- Lead a team of process improvement professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop training programs to empower employees to contribute effectively to process enhancement efforts.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Expertise:
- Proven track record in managing operational excellence within electrical mechanical controls across a network of industrial facilities.
- leading a large organization through a period of rapid growth, merger integration, or business transformation.
- In-depth experience in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies in process improvement.
- Proven ability to implement new ways of working that enable growth and scale globally, achieving efficiencies whilst meeting the needs of the customer.
- Experienced in leading and operating in a matrix environment.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in operational leadership.
- Bachelor’s, Master's, or PhD degree, or equivalent work experience.
