Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for an Equalization Analyst to join the team for Up to a 6-month term. This position reports to the Supervisor, Financial Accounting, in the Gas Services Business Unit (GBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Division.
The Gas Services Business Unit provides gas gathering, compression, shallow cut processing and both sweet and sour deep cut processing services for its customers, primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts.
The Equalization Analyst will actively work with finance, production accounting, customer service and field operations for the accurate and timely calculation/review of operated 13-month throughput adjustments for gas plants.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
-Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina/safety;
-Develop and complete the annual 13th month throughput adjustments for large, complex gas plants;
-Prepare financial entries in SAP associated with 13th month adjustments;
-Obtain working knowledge of the company’s commercial and joint venture contracts;
-Liaise across all departments and manage inquiries related to 13th Month Adjustments;
-Assist with process mapping and documentation of the 13th Month Adjustments;
-Consistently identify areas for improvements, document potential efficiencies, and participate in process improvement opportunities; and
-Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 10+ years of related oil and gas experience;
-Prior 13th month adjustment experience with large gas plants is required;
-Operations Accounting and/or Joint Venture experience is preferred;
-Post-secondary degree, CAPPA certification or professional accounting designation is preferred;
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact positively and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders;
-Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player, demonstrating excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and analytical skills;
-Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel is required;
-In-depth knowledge of SAP and EnergyLink systems is preferred;
-Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt effectively to changing priorities; and
-Ability to commit Up to a 6-month term.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
