DESCRIPTION
Amazon is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join Amazon's Global Tax Organization. Via partnerships with business, operations, and technology teams, this position will drive financial insights and lead strategic initiatives to improve financial reporting and customer experience. This role will engage with executive leadership and cross functional teams to drive results.
This role requires a self-starter with business modeling skills, a keen attention to detail and a track record of influencing business partners. The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. You will demonstrate your ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive planning, budgeting and related deliverables, and ensuring financial discipline and compliance.
- Prepare financial metrics, financial reporting, and financial analysis
- Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish
- Provide controllership over several fixed and variable costs of the business
- Anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; initiate corrective actions; minimize the impact of negative variances
- Prepare financial metrics, financial reporting, and financial analysis
- Lead periodic long-term planning and forecasting efforts

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary for this position ranges from $66,000/year up to $110,100/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
