What is the opportunity?
Join our Governance & Compliance team in an exciting, career growth opportunity at the center of the Service Asset & Configuration Management Group. This role will focus on governing the Health & Compliance of IT Assets Attribute Data Completeness & Accuracy of the Config Mgmt Database (CMDB) in the RBC Book of Record. As a Senior Compliance officer, you’ll manage the day-to-day compliance support, review functions, and support of compliance initiatives. What will you do?
- Govern Health and Compliance for managed Asset/CI Classes’ IT Asset/CI Critical Data Attribute Completeness & Accuracy within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure our KPI of 95% compliance is maintained
- Manage Enterprise CI/Asset Governance & Compliance Dashboards that present a real-time health status to measure against KPIs. These Dashboards have interactive filters, Critical Data Attribute Non-compliancy counts, KPI target percentages for completeness/accuracy with easy data export for resolution
- Review and act on dashboard finding to address issues and ensure data integrity is maintained to have a trusted and comprehensive Book of Record
- Chair Monthly Governance meetings for all managed Asset Classes with data advisory council members creating an open forum to promote a data centric culture focused on accuracy & compliancy.
- Raise, assign, track and publish progress/ completion of all Action Items impacting stakeholders
- Follow-up on the action items with the owners and ensure they are complete
- Identify and partner with the CMDB and HAM and SAM Teams to implement enhancements / defects to improve Asset & CMDB data quality
- Prepare transparent standard reports and analyze to support business needs.
- Analyze data to develop qualitative and quantitative reports for SACM teams and/or company executives or IT Asset/CI owners to assist in making informed decisions
- Creation of new dashboards/reports for every new Asset/CI Class onboarded into the CMDB and as well build and maintain new Business Intelligence & Alignment dashboards to provide leaders consistent, accurate insight to make strategic business decisions
- Produce and distribute a Monthly Governance Report to provide a summary and trend analysis of Data Quality for all in-scope Asset/CI Classes over the reporting period
- Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout to ensure they’re accurate and trustworthy by identifying, tracking, and resolving data quality issues
What do you need to succeed?
Must haves:
- Project Management accreditation and reporting experience
- ServiceNow knowledge
- Tableau knowledge
- Experience working with complex data and performing data analysis
- Superb analytical and research/problem solving skills with a high attention to detail along with the ability to be proactive when performing comprehensive data analysis to measure data quality against KPI targets, publish scorecards for ongoing monitoring and measurement of data quality, particularly from the critical data attribute perspective
- High proficiency level across Microsoft suite of products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio with the ability to comprehend and manage complex data sets and analysis utilizing advanced Excel techniques
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration and documentation skills; passion for learning and knowledge transfer and client focused with a tenacity to resolve issues and conflicts
- Strong relationship acumen and the ability to collaborate across multiple lines of business/operations teams and platforms
- 5+ years of experience in the financial sector and/or compliance, with regulatory reporting experience & operations experience
