Who we are
The New Brunswick Housing Corporation (NBHC) is currently seeking a motivated, innovative, and skillful Senior Project Manager to join the recently renewed and restructured NBHC.
NBHC is focused on working with all levels of government, community groups, organizations, and the private sector to identify and maximize housing development opportunities while providing support through a housing strategy to positively impact New Brunswickers.
The Facilities Division of NBHC includes two distinct units that are integral to fulfilling the corporation's mandate and achieving the goals articulated in New Brunswick's Housing Strategy. These are the Building Management Branch, and the Construction and Modernization Branch.
What you will do?
As Senior Project Manager, you will work under the Construction and Modernization branch reporting to the Director of Construction & Modernization on new Public Housing construction projects as well as major Public Housing modernization projects. You will be responsible for:
- defining project expectations concerning scope, schedule, cost, plan, goals, risks, and deliverables;
- delivering the project per the project plan;
- acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party consultants and contractors;
- defining the project budget;
- providing progress reports as required;
- identifying concerns and issues and developing mitigations;
- managing changes to the project plan and developing means to deliver the project as promised;
- coaching, mentoring, motivating, and supervising project team members, consultants, and contractors;
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in project management, two (2) of which must include work experience in an industry that involves working in Housing/Building Development or Design & Construction; with experience managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality; OR two (2) year post-secondary diploma in a related discipline plus a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively more responsible experience in project management, two (2) of which must include work experience in an industry that involves working in Housing/Building Development or Design & Construction; with experience managing scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidatesthat demonstrate the following assets.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other project management certification.
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

Work environment:
- Office location: *551 King Street, Fredericton.
*Other office locations within NB can be considered if operational requirements permit. - Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday 8:15 am to 4:30 pm.
- Some travel within the province and valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick will be required.
SALARY: Pay Band 6: $2,790.00 to $3,712.00 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week.
