iA Financial Group is looking for a Senior Project Manager with Scrum Master responsibilities to join its IT Solutions & Digital Experience team servicing iA Private Wealth for projects, small to large initiatives, and day-to-day support. Do you want challenges in a world with distributed teams (Quebec, Montreal, Toronto), multilingual teams (French, English), and multiple information technology projects?  

To this end, we are looking for a Senior PM to help us in supporting iA Private Wealth's Operations, Compliance, Finance groups, and Capital Markets business and end-to-end projects.

You will be responsible for coordinating the fulfillment of requests from different partners, monitoring the budget, and maintaining a relationship with internal and external service providers.

More specifically: 

  • Support and contribute to the organization of the project team to improve productivity, achieve objectives, and maximize the elimination of non-value-added tasks and obstacles.
  • Organize and ensure good artifact health, specifically the definition of “done” (DoD), and the proper conduct of ceremonies and pipeline events (PI planning).
  • Take ownership of the overall vision of needs, problems, opportunities, and issues.
  • Support product managers and product owners in establishing and updating the product backlog.
  • In collaboration with the PO, prepare project status and chair executive steering committees
  • Ensure good collaboration and communication between all project participants.
  • Help the team manage risks associated with the solution's delivery and dependencies.
  • Work closely with the business partner to support the PO (if present) and define the vision and document improvements.
  • Help the team adopt Lean-Agile behaviours and values and the practices encouraged by the centres of excellence (CoE).
  • Work closely with cross functional and technology teams to lead and drive technology initiatives
  • Manage the delivery, execution, and consideration of all key aspects of projects including planning, scheduling, resourcing, risk assessment, cost/benefit analysis, time/cost estimates, and tracking budgets/costs
  • Efficiently and effectively manage stakeholder expectations to ensure initiative success
  • Will ensure that assigned initiatives are completed on time, within scope and budget
  • Will be able to identify inefficiencies and develop solutions for improvement
  • Ensure change management best practices are observed wherever possible.
  • Facilitate planning meetings, daily scrums, retrospectives and participate in different relevant meetings and committees
  • Evaluate the risks and action plans to put in place and proactively apply the risk management measures to minimize the impacts on the project
  • Carry out budget monitoring, forecasts and estimate what remains to be done, and manage the overall project capacity
  • Support the production teams to remove obstacles to the attainment of project objectives discussed during the daily scrums and retrospectives, or project update meetings
  • Participate in education on Agile mode and iterative deliveries, both IT side and partners.

Required profile:

  • College/University Degree in Computer Science or other relevant training at the same level
  • Minimum 5 years experience in project management in information technology. Minimum of 5 years Scrum Master experience involving several stakeholders from several departments or several organizations
  • Excellent French and English language skills, both oral and written, due to frequent interaction with English and French-speaking partners across Canada.
  • Agility experience and Scrum Master Certification
  • PMP Qualification or other Project Management industry certification a definite asset
  • Change management experience (an asset)
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing large project budgets
