The Sr Talent Acquisition Coordinator is the glue that holds our Talent Acquisition team together and supports all activities as we attract and recruit great talent at Softchoice. You will drive operational excellence and efficiency in the hiring process and candidate experience. This individual will partner closely with Talent Acquisition leadership and our Talent Advisors providing daily support to ensure a great candidate experience across the many functions of Softchoice as well as partner with other teams/stakeholders on mission critical projects and deliverables.

 

This role is hybrid with the expectation of being in the Toronto office 2-3 times per month. 

 

What you will do:

 

Position & candidate management:

  • Own the creation and execution of:
    • Posting all roles internally/externally
    • Candidate offer letters
    • Background check process for external hires & investigating reports as required
    • Interview scheduling with both hiring leaders and candidates
    • Candidate onboarding
    • Liaising with Service Desk and the HRIS teams to ensure all employee data is captured and accurate for expected hire date.
    • Own the Softchoice referral program including employee and hiring leader engagement & problem solving, and reporting and liaising with payroll to align on employee payments
    • Event coordination and participation (at Softchoice & offsite)

Campus Recruitment: 

  • For each of the 3 co-op cycles:
    • Post roles on all the school job boards
    • Review resume bundles received by each school and share with individual hiring leaders
    • Hiring leader communications including requesting candidate feedback
    • Interview and offer coordination and execution

Budget & Invoice Management: 

  • Manage the administration of the overall Talent Acquisition budget
  • Track and process incoming invoices for payment and update monthly and quarterly budget vs actual spend.
  • Analysis of actual vs budget and advise/flag leadership where required.
  • Liaise with accounts payable and vendors to ensure prompt processing of invoices and to follow up on outstanding or incorrect invoices.

Executive Reporting:

  • Create weekly executive reporting to be shared with the ELT and SLT on Talent Acquisition activity to drive awareness on open & closed positions.
  • Provide analysis on the Talent Acquisition activity in the weekly executive reporting updates
  • Track, analyze and report on diversity data for filled positions.
  • Build ad hoc reports as required for SLT/ELT consumption and report on progress against diversity hiring targets
  • Create quarterly SLT reporting
  • Ad hoc data requests and reports as needed to support headcount and hiring decisions

Projects:

  • Corporate Awards: Overall data management, becoming SME in the awards platform, and accountable for all data validation and data entry. Some system programming required.


What you bring to the table:

 

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a talent coordination role
  • Hands-on experience with ATS systems, i.e. SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team-based environment
  • Have an understanding of Human Resources practices; specifically those related to recruitment
  • Be highly organized with the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Be self-motivated and very comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Pro-actively manage commitments to achieve multiple priorities
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • College diploma or University degree and/or equivalent work experience
