Service Manager

Here’s What You Will Be Doing

• Within two months of hire, be in a position to effectively manage an Ontario service team of 16 field technicians and 2 inside admin staff (resulting in sustaining profitable annual compressor service revenue of $9 million).
• Within the first month of hire, spend time with each of your direct reports to assess their capabilities, strengths and potential areas of improvement.
• Within the first month of hire and with the guidance of your boss (the general manager) and one of the owners (a mentor to you) learn, internalize and expound the company’s products, services and service value proposition.
• Within the first three months of hire, reach out to all “A” and “B” customers to develop trust and build lasting relationships.
• Become knowledgeable with the Kaeser https://kaeser.com line of air compressors and Parker https://www.parker.com air preparation and dryer products.
• Gain trust of the service team.
• Lead and inspire your team providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure a cohesive and high-performing group.
• Further develop and implement company service KPIs including but not limited to:

· Service hours billed

· Budget milestones

· Service revenue growth

• Effectively utilize NetSuite ERP (Service Module).
• Set up and conduct monthly one-on-ones with each member of the service team - monitor and evaluate performance.
• Analyze service data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and manage the service department budget, optimizing resource allocation to achieve financial targets.
• Manage warranty claims.
• Visit key customer locations (50% of your time).
• Occasionally respond to customer calls after hours and weekends.

Are You Qualified?

• The ability to manage the ground between service department staff requests and senior management decisions.
• Industrial equipment service savvy.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $95,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
