What is the role?
Reporting to the job site Supervisor, the Service Technician is responsible for the ongoing site equipment maintenance and lubrication on all heavy equipment (off road) used in road building and maintenance such as Excavators, Graders, Loaders, Rollers, Heavy Trucks, and trailers, etc. Work is in a Field environment with some winter work in a shop environment.
Other responsibilities include:
Fuels equipment daily on remote job sites within Saskatchewan or Alberta
Checks and records lubrication, oil levels and fuel levels
Repairs and replaces small tires on towed road compaction equipment
Preventative maintenance inspections and small repairs
Interprets work orders and technical manuals
Confers with Site supervisor regarding all repairs and extent of repairs necessary
Maintains stocks of fuel, oil, grease and filters, while coordinating with site supervisor
Maintains service records
Maintains stock and changes wear parts as required
Other duties as assigned
What do we value?
Apprentice Heavy-Duty Mechanic or relevant experience required
Minimum Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record
Air ticket required
