Job Summary
The Shift Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of operations and customer service of the Table Games department through a trained and developed team of dealer’s, inspectors and pit managers. The SM also insures that all internal controls, rules, procedures of Manitoba Gaming Control Commission, Manitoba Liquor Control Commission, proceeds of crime legislations are adhered to and followed. Additionally, the SM ensures overall customer service is delivered throughout the entire resort while safety and organizational responsibilities are maintained
Duties included:
- Ensures overall customer service is delivered throughout the Resort by all departments by following up on staffing levels and pending concerns in absence of management
- Helps customers, guests and patrons in crisis situations
- Manages escalated customer service complaints or issues, including intoxicated patrons, and issues comps as needed
- In-charge of entire Resort in absence of GM or Director of Operations by working various shifts which may include all key holidays and weekends
- Ensures compliance with all gaming procedures and internal controls
- Authorizes Jackpot payments
- Plans, schedules and directs staffing, training, development and equitable treatment of all gaming personnel
- Follows up on support services areas to ensure standards are maintained for all guests and patrons including parking lot, smoking area, bathrooms, etc.
- Ensure marketing promotions are going according to plan and signage is up to date and TV’s are appropriate
- Reports all flash numbers/reads as requested; report on the performance of bands
- Regularly communicates with Director of Operations including high wins and other wins/loses in addition to other department issues, concerns or incidents
- Complies with all AML/ATF policies and procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
To perform this job successfully the Shift Managers must demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and ability at standard or above satisfactory level. A minimum of two years table games experience. Five years at a senior management level in a fast paced ever changing environment that is customer driven. Secondary Education that supports competencies required. Working knowledge using various Microsoft Office programs, payroll software systems and financial software needed.
