Shipper / Receiver

Responsibilities
-Responsible for pre-job safety instruction (PSI) and job hazard analysis (JHA). Safely tests and inspects tools and equipment. 
-Promotes a safety culture. 
-Selects and stores material, equipment, and tools to satisfy the requirements of the requisitions. 
-Champion initiatives to reduce non-value add activities and streamline processes while maintaining or improving effectiveness. 
-Arranging freight and completing documentation.
-Maintaining accurate inventory tracking.
-Reviewing repair estimates and scheduling equipment service and recertification.
-Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders. 
-Responsible for housekeeping of the facility. 
-Assists with the loading and offloading of material, equipment, and tools.
-Maintain parking and building maintenance: lights / furniture etc.
-Operate forklift.
Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent. 
-No experience required. 
-Hold a valid drivers license.
-Ability to safely operate forklift and other equipment to load/unload material. 
-Effective organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly. 
-Proven experience in warehouse, inventory control, or shipping/receiving.
-Ability to understand and employ the company’s specifications, methods, and procedures. 
-Basic understanding of construction tools, materials, and equipment. 
-Effective verbal and written communication skills. 
-Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. 
-Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
-Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.  without restrictions.
-Telehandler / forklift and skid training an asset.
