We are currently looking to fill a permanent full-time position for a Shipping & Receiving Administrator for our Shipping & Receiving Department at our Leamington, ON location.
The receiving and shipping administrator role requires a high level of cross departmental understanding, attention to detail, willingness to learn and ability to track trends. Working across the departments collectively in order to promote unity, efficiency and work with diligence.
- Job Specific Duties
- Co-coordinate local logistics with on-duty receiving supervisor, nonpriority loads o Priority loads are set by receiving/shipping supervisors/managers.
- Nonpriority loads will be co-managed by the administrative role along with the receiving supervisors during hours of work where the administrative role is not present.
- Process both receiving and shipping equipment maintenance forms and daily circle checks both digitally and paper copy Collect, note, and track trends for daily circle checks and work with receiving/shipping managers for any actionable items.
- Maintain equipment maintenance data, help manage work orders, spot trends.
- Collect/monitor circle checks paper and digital (GeoTab)
- Collect/process work orders from circle checks, from breakdowns/repairs not capturable via circle checks.
- Trained to back up both receiving and shipping clerk roles.
- Ongoing refreshers and staying current with clerking duties to be at the ready to jump in as needed.
- Support special project administrative requests as required.
- 2-5 years of shipping and receiving admin experience.
- Previous Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in working with computers and software programs, specifically ERP, KPI Portals and Microsoft Office more specifically Excel and Nav.
- Excellent communication is a must for this role (oral and written).
- Ability to maintain respectful relationships at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment, some independent work.
- Ability to work in a fast environment by multitasking and prioritizing work while being attentive to details and quality.
- Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company.
- Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends and extended hours if needed.
Working Conditions
- Fast paced warehouse environment where temperatures vary from cooler to temperature-controlled areas.
- Working with a wide array of people/cultures in a team setting. These include guest workers, locals, and vendors, etc.
- Full time hours Monday to Friday with Saturdays and holidays (as needed).
Working with minimal supervision during the day, but also communicating with different individuals and teams across our facilities and from external organizations.
