Job Description
Responsible for the supervision and direction of the site assigned officers; training and orientation of all new officers; and performing additional tasks as requested by the CSM. The Site Supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining the daily operation of the site schedule.
The ability to plan and multitask is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for permanent Security Officers plus special coverage Officers and must be ready to handle the challenge of leading a team. It would be a great asset to have previous security supervisory experience for this role.
TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Supervise the Security staff assigned to the site detail and act as a resource for Security issues in accordance with PSG Policy and Procedure. Ensure guidelines and standards for security staff are adhered to.
•Develop security policy and procedures.
•Maintain and enforce all Paladin and Client P&P on site and ensure the highest standard of our security program on site.
•Supervise and assist all officers with responsibilities delegated to them.
•Ensure all Reports are completed, and each Officer submits complete and accurate daily reports and incident reports. Follow up with inaccuracies or omissions. Review all site Incident Reports and escalate incidents as required through the Perspective Reporting System.
•Conduct site orientation and training of new officers, ensuring site orientation packages and officer review tests are completed within the allotted training period. Monitor performance and behavior of officers and document/discipline staff where standards are not being met.
•Conduct Security Threat, Risk, Vulnerability assessments.
•Draw up and maintain departmental site and training schedule, ensuring that all shifts are covered and assisting with shift coverage where needed. Ensure all officers meet the training requirements of the site as outlined in the Officer Status Matrix.
•Accept after-hours phone coverage from time to time and will be the site officer's first contact during phoned questions for site management.
•Will arrange coverage for any open shifts due to last minute book offs, medical emergencies, etc.
•Responsible for ensuring all officers have read and signed off on all Paladin Health and Safety Policy/Procedure and to ensure all accidents are reported in a timely manner.
•Perform other duties as required and/or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
Preference will be given to candidates already acting in a Supervisory role at present or who have acted in this capacity in recent history. Applicants will be required to complete PSG Supervisor Training if they have not already done so.
Skills and Abilities
•Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate and problem solve.
•Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
•Knowledge of the TrackTik patrol software and Perspective reporting system.
•Effective communication, both in writing and verbally, including delivering presentations to groups.
•Ability to deal with others effectively.
•High functionality in a dynamic environment.
•Demonstrated professionalism in all situations.
•Physical ability to perform bike patrol and the duties of the position.
