What is the opportunity?
As an Operations Associate in our Control & Reconciliation team, you will provide the necessary support to ensure the RBC’s core books and records accounts are reconciled, aged, and exceptions escalated in alignment with RBC’s policies and regulatory requirements. In addition, you will work with other teams within Operations to document that differences are resolved and verified in a timely manner.
What will you do?
- Provide oversight and maintenance for a variety of different reconciliations daily.
- Perform manual/semi-manual reconciliations daily or monthly.
- Research and resolve complex problems or reconciliation anomalies.
- Participate in requirements and user acceptance activities for new reconciliations or processes.
- Oversee suspense process for certain reconciliations to ensure compliance.
- Work with Ops teams to verify breaks are resolved according to audit standards.
- Back-up other department employees as needed,
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent OR High school diploma or equivalent AND 3 years of job-related experience.
- Ability to integrate Excel and Access databases into daily work.
Nice-to-have
- Previous experience in the securities or banking industry preferred.
