What you'll be doing
You’ll lead complex Intake items to complete the solution design aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap. As a Senior Analyst, Intake within CIBC's Personal Banking Products Technology Department Intake Team, you’ll support the end-to-end Intake Process and act as the owner of the intake and work with subject matter experts in both business and technology side to deliver the solution design and estimate. You’ll participate in ideation and collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best in class client experience. The Senior Analyst, Intake is responsible for providing stewardship over project intake and associated processes to align with strategic objectives, assess resources, validate intake details, outline interdependencies, and identify any barriers or delays to completion. The role performs tasks of technical depth and breadth, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics to analyze the scope of work versus quoted estimates to determine whether the quote is reasonable, and escalate variances with the supplier and manager with recommendations. The Senior Analyst, Intake troubleshoots problems, reviewing request content for quality and accuracy, addressing any discrepancies or omissions with stakeholders to identify completion barriers or delays. The role exercises considerable latitude to align priorities, timelines, and resource requirements, negotiating acceptance and implementation of solutions, ideas, and concepts. The role proactively addresses problems within the scope of responsibility and identifies areas for possible improvements.

How you'll succeed
- Client engagement – Meet with clients to understand their priorities, advise them on solutions, and provide a forward-looking financial plan. Use your knowledge of cash management, credit, investment and wealth protection to help clients meet their goals.
- Relationship building - Engage in marketing and outreach activities to show clients you value them and their communities. Grow your network, deepen existing relationships, and collaborate with others to ensure clients are connected to the right people and opportunities.
- Leveraging technology - Become a technology expert. Share your knowledge by introducing clients to our mobile banking applications, enabling them to better manage their banking needs.
Understanding and documenting requirements - Work closely with Business Partners to guide formulation of complex business requirements and solution discussions to meet business needs.
Solution design - Work with Enterprise Architecture, SME from PBPT Development teams and other Technology partners to agree on a solution which address the business requirements and objectives. Based on the solution, identify impacted areas and coordinate the efforts with all the impacted teams to complete the estimate of the intake.
Leading and mentoring – Work as a portfolio lead to oversee all intakes that come from a line of Business, e.g. Personal Banking Products. Summarize and provide regular status update to busienss representative on the progress of the intake within the portfilio. Understand the business priority on their intakes and negotiate priority with business representative if there is conflict exist. Provide coaching and advice to junior member in the team.
You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field, and you’ve spent at least 3 years in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions. It’s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies, and Application and/or Architecture Development. Experience in a similar role and have the proven ability to understand customer needs and expectations in order to provide excellent customer service and manage strong business relationships. You have knowledge of and experience with lending, deposits, card products and CAM applications. Ideally, you have experience within a financial institution. * You put our clients first.
