With the ever increasing demand for support and service in the auto industry, we’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join the team remotely from the GTA. This is a very hands-on role and ideal for someone seeking to continuously improve financial processes and make a difference in a growth-oriented company.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in corporate bookkeeping for all holding companies.
- Expertise in managing related party loans to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Skilled in treasury functions, serving as a primary contact for all transfers and invoices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including handling FCC, Ethos, legal accruals, jet deposit, etc.
- Experience in preparing and updating preliminary consolidations.
- Capable of updating Qlik Mapping for enhanced data visualization.
- Provide support for audit queries, ensuring a smooth audit process.
- Assist in working capital reviews to optimize financial efficiency.
- Contribute to business intelligence initiatives for informed decision-making.
- Handle various other financial reporting items.
- Proficient in GAHL bookkeeping and well-versed in VAT compliance.
- Competent in creating and managing debt amortization tables and debt rolls.
- Experienced in managing the roll of leased vehicles.
Qualifications
- University/College degree/diploma in Accounting
- Experience in Bookkeeping
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Complex Accounting experience under IFRS is preferred
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word
- Experience with extracting and manipulating large data sets from various financial systems
- Strong technical internal controls and process improvement skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000.00-$86,000.00 per year
