Store Manager – Portage La Prairie Branch

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is ready to join our team. The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, its staff, customer relations and sales performance.

Your duties will include:

• Managing and building strong customer relationships with our existing contractor and retail customers
• Managing and increasing our brand awareness
• Recruiting, managing and developing our team orientated employees’ skills and competencies
• Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels
• Provide timely and accurate sales and estimates to both contractor and retail customers as required
• Ensuring a safe work environment by adhering to our Health and Safety policies and procedures both in store and on site

The successful candidate will:

• Show commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail team environment is essential
• Provide knowledgeable advice, service and overall account management
• Ability to develop team members
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including the Health and Safety program
• Previous experience is preferred and knowledge of building materials is an asset but not required
• Display a desire to expand on their knowledge and skill set
• Supervises and manages team members while developing employees’ skills and competencies
• Have a valid class 5 drivers license
