What is the position?
HAZUKIDO Union Station has an exciting opportunity for lovers of baked goods and well-crafted drinks to join our team as a Manager. We are seeking a passionate leader to manage and oversee all aspects of operations, including production, sales, customer service, and staff management. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of business operations and management principles. This position reports to the Managing Partners and will be part of the Senior Executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all bakery operations, including production, sales, and customer service.
- Develop and implement business strategies to increase sales, revenue, and profitability.
- Monitor and analyze bakery performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Hire, train, and manage staff, including scheduling and performance management.
- Develop and enforce store policies and procedures to ensure consistent operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper ordering of supplies and ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic bakery environment.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in retail/food management, including experience in production, sales, and customer service.
- Experience in leading and developing a team in a "hands on" fast paced food-production environment.
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of baking principles, techniques, and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines including knowledge of ESA, Occupational Health and Safety, and WSIB regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be a team player, self-motivated, results driven and works well under pressure
