Responsibilities
As the store lead you will report to the Retail Operations Manager and will be responsible for the management of day to day operations, performance, staffing, and reporting at Cannabis Xpressretail store-Beeton. Your performance will be gauged in efficiency in generating sales in your location(s) and your precision in fulfilling other requirements and management tasks including adherence to policy and procedure. You will be required to complete the Lead in Training (LIT) program that will prepare and give you the tools necessary to perform your role at Cannabis Xpress.
Sales:
- Effectively manages staff performance at store level to ensure a positive and efficient customer experience
- Analyzes store budgets monthly and allocates daily sales targets in relation to KPI’s
- Maximizes retail productivity measured through average basket size and units per transaction to drive revenue
- Coaches, trains, and develops Product Experts to ensure their success, create a positive employee culture, and promote an efficient sales environment
Policy and Procedures:
- Ensures the monitoring and buy-in of all team members to corporate-directed policies and procedures (total compliance to operating procedures and regulations)
- Responsible for cash management including weekly bank deposits
- Monitors prices, labels, merchandising, and pricing integrity
- Ensures a clean work environment that fits the CX brand image
- Complete the Monthly Store Audit at each location
Staffing:
- Responsible for adequate staffing of your retail store
- Identifies and leads hiring and training needs as required
- Addresses local performance issues as needed, following appropriate performance improvement process
- Responsible for all local Human Resources functions
Reporting:
- Communicates effectively with other stores and with the retail operations manager
Operations:
- Open and close the retail store on-time
- Responsible for achieving local revenue targets as provided by the corporate operations team when applicable
- Responsible for merchandising upkeep including following planograms when required
- Ensures the safety and satisfaction of all customers and employees
Required Skills
- 2 years of prior management experience
- Familiarity with legal cannabis industry, cannabis usage, and the needs of cannabis consumers
- Ability to work flexible hours and to set the same expectations with your team including weekends and holidays
- Great communication skills, strong motivation and leadership qualities
- Organized with great attention to detail
- Experience in a highly regulated industry is an asset
- Relevant education / post-secondary education is an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.55-$18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

- Hillsdale, ON L0L 1V0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Cannabis Sales Associates: 1 year (preferred)
- customer service: 5 years (required)
