Structural Steel Detailer

Cooksville Steel is currently seeking an experienced Structural Steel Detailer to work at our Kitchener office.

The chosen candidate should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of SDS2 structural detailing experience and have an excellent understanding of the SDS2 program.

These are some of the qualifications the chosen candidate should have.

• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CISC standards.
• Must be able to create 3D Structural Steel models in SDS2.
• Read and understand welding symbols.
• Understanding of Structural Steel connection design.
• Autocad experience.
• Be highly organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong math skills.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Must be open to suggestions and new ideas.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• professional demeanour.

Additional Information.

• Hours of operation, Monday to Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Friday 7:30 am to 12:00 pm. Overtime will be required on occasion.
• Salary will be negotiated based on your experience.
• Casual business dress attire.
