Student Agro Yard Attendant

Four Rivers Co-op is hiring a STUDENT AGRO YARD ATTENDANT at our Agro Centre location in Vanderhoof, BC . The successful candidate must be available to work evenings, weekends and statutory holidays. This position could lead to more hours during the busy season.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Agro Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Demonstrating Four Rivers Co-operative’s values of Responsibility, Integrity, Service, and Excellence
• Working co-operatively with team members who deliver excellent service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here.”
• Providing proper storage of yard and warehouse merchandise
• Unloading supplier trucks
• Loading customer vehicles
• Keeping yard and storage areas organized and clean
Ensuring company policies including the Health and Safety program are always adhered to

Who you are:

• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Able to repetitively pull, lift and carry 50lbs throughout each shift
• Forklift experience is considered an asset
• Knowledge of livestock is considered an asset
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering customer service that goes that extra mile
• A team member with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Committed to quality with an eye for detail
• Mechanically inclined
• Experienced in retail in a similar position
• Results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do

The pay scale for this position is $16.75 to $23.95 per hour. Starting pay of applicants will be based off knowledge, skills, and experience.
