Yard Attendant

Cool Creek Energy invites applications for the position of Part-time Yard Attendant to join our team based out of Kamloops B.C. The successful candidate must have availability weekdays up to 4 hours a day or more.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, this position is responsible for a wide variety of tasks both inside and outside. These duties may consist of hands-on activities as they pertain to our Cardlock locations. This position plays a vital role in the supporting our site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the daily site maintenance of our cardlock locations
• Daily cleaning and organizing of site stations and buildings
• You will spend approx. 75% of your day outside, so must be comfortable working outdoors
• Attend monthly staff meetings and all safety meetings
• Minor repairs to equipment
• Other job-related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Qualifications and Skills:

• Performing daily cleaning and maintenance at our Cardlock sites
• Valid driver’s license and comfort driving to multiple site locations throughout the city
• Driver's Abstract must be in good standing
• Mechanical aptitude an asset
• Comfortable doing daily janitorial work at the cardlock sites
• Good verbal communication skills with a passion for customer service.
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Willing to work in the elements, as much of this work is performed outside
• A team player possessing good communication and organizational skills.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lb. on occasion.
• The ability to apply good common sense and safety skills to any situation.
• First Aid Training would be considered an asset.
• Previous WHMIS, Dangerous Goods and Spill Response training an asset.
