Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Student Loan Officer to join our team. The Student Loan Officer will play a crucial role in assisting students with the financial aspects of their education, particularly in navigating the complexities of Student Loans. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students by helping them secure the necessary funding to pursue their academic endeavors.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized guidance to students regarding available financial aid options, including federal and private Student Loans.
- Assist students in completing loan applications and required documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Educate students on loan terms, interest rates, repayment options, and other relevant financial information.
- Evaluate students' financial aid eligibility and determine appropriate loan amounts based on individual circumstances.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as admissions and financial aid, to ensure a seamless experience for students throughout the loan process.
- Stay informed about changes in student loan regulations and policies to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students and colleagues.
- Maintain detailed records of student loan transactions and communication for compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in financial aid, or banking preferred.
- Strong understanding of student loan products, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively advise and support students from diverse backgrounds.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
Schedule: 9:00-6:00PM, Monday to Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
