Description
Qualifications:
-Masters Degree in inclusive or special education
-Valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teachers Certificate
-Experience in special or inclusive education working with students with diverse needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, specific learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, etc.
-Knowledge of, and substantial teaching experience with First Nations, and Mtis students
-Understanding of educational technology and experience with various platforms such as MSS and Edsby
-Valid Drivers License and reliable vehicle as some travel may be required
The Successful Candidate will be responsible for:
-Providing leadership and support for the school division within the portfolio of Student Services
-Identifying and facilitating connections with community, family, regional services, and supports
-Providing training, mentoring, and coaching to support Student Services teachers and small school administrators with developing and actualizing IIPs, completing referrals, and following up with recommendations
-Training educational assistants alongside Student Services teachers
Working as a team member to collaborate with other consultants, specialists, and outside agencies, as well as planning strategically to create annual operational plans
-Collaborating, consulting, and participating in a case management service delivery model with school teams, parents, specialists, and outside agencies
-Coordinating division-wide specialist visits as required
-Promoting initiatives related to the implementation of the TRC recommendations and 94 Calls to Action
