Mill Labourer: will work a shift work schedule of 12-hour days, nights, and weekends on a 4 on, 4 off rotation, averaging 42 hours per week. Reporting to the Production and Area Team Leader(s), Student Mill Labourers will be required to work safely while performing a variety of tasks around the mill which includes housekeeping (sweeping and blowing down equipment), operating small equipment as trained, outside maintenance and clean-up, and supporting the operations as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age and currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and returning to post-secondary studies in the fall. Proof of enrolment will be required;
- Valid Driver’s license;
- Experience in an industrial environment an asset;
- Ability to perform physical labour, to work at heights, to work outside, and ability to work in challenging conditions including extreme heat, noise, and dust;
- A positive attitude, ability to work safely, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn.
