Job Description
What you can expect in a typical day:
As a summer student with Irving Oil you will have an opportunity to learn in a collaborative environment with one of Canada's Top 100 employers! In this role you will be part of our General Services team at Canada's largest oil refinery. You will have the chance to work as part of a close-knit team focused on exterior maintenance, lawn maintenance, planting flowers, exterior painting, general clean-up and being traffic flagger trained. You will work outdoors with a team of employees and fellow students to accomplish various tasks important to the refinery's upkeep.
Y ou will have the opportunity to apply and expand your knowledge as you work with goal-oriented , cross-trained teams to directly impact the accomplishments of our refinery. Y ou will receive firsthand experience working within the refinery.

Professional skills :

• Able to bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl etc., and able to lift up to 20lbs
  
• Able to wear full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required by safety standards
  
• Valid Canadian driver's license
  

Travel

• Travel is not a requirement for this role
  

Education and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education
  
• Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school in the Fall of 202 3
