Reporting to the Superintendent, Health and Safety, the Supervisor, Health & Safety Compliance is responsible for managing Health and Safety Compliance for contractors and ensuring security, particularly in the context of large-scale projects with high-risk scopes and accelerated timelines. This role is vital for the successful implementation of the entire construction execution plan, ensuring all projects are adequately supported.

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Manage site security, including supervision of access control officers and the Health & Safety Compliance Coordinator
- Supervise and manage contractor management and security across the site, ensuring adherence to Health and Safety protocols
- Ensure operations meets its strategic Health and Safety Objectives in High Potential Risk Control, Occupational Health & Hygiene and Courageous Safety Leadership
- Oversee access control and ensure compliance with contractor compliance standards
- Provide support in mitigating risks associated with the Engineering, Environmental Department, and Major Projects
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of high-risk projects, maintaining a strong Health and Safety presence on-site
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders, including site management teams, and Business Unit project management, to ensure comprehensive Health and Safety support
- Play a critical role in meeting the company's objectives, including contractor compliance and reducing the risk of recordable injuries and high-potential incidents
- Develop, coordinate and conduct audits and inspections, as well as maintaining Site, Business Unit and Corporate Safety Reporting requirements
Qualifications:
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
- Minimum five years related safety experience in a mining or heavy industry setting
- Experience in Health and Safety supervision, particularly in a project-based environment
- In depth understanding of regulations, standards and industry code applicable to jurisdiction
- Demonstrated outstanding job observation skills and effectively communicate deficiencies in workplace conditions and worker behaviors, to individual workers, supervision and management
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office® package: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Minimum Class 5 Drivers license
- Project/Construction/Contractor Management experience would be an asset
- Possession of or working towards a CRSP designation would be an asset

Salary Range: $101,000 - $125,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a pre-employment drug screen and three professional references.
