Supply Chain Manager

Alexandria Moulding is a leading moulding manufacturer and distributor of wood and wood composite mouldings in North America & the world and is currently comprised of five distinct facilities within Canada and the United States. SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for ensuring the Supply Chain Management team is supporting the organization’s demand and inventory planning for assigned branches and product lines. This includes all purchasing and planning activities along with the control of material from the suppliers to the distribution facility under the guidance of the Corporate Supply Chain Manager.

Job Duties and Essential Functions:

• Manage the daily operations of the planning and purchasing department
• Develop and execute weekly/monthly purchasing requirements, focusing on site-level product line and inventory management
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities as necessary, ensuring compliance with company purchasing and planning policies
• Lead the monthly demand management process, consolidating information from various sources and ensuring forecast accuracy
• Provide guidance and training to subordinate positions to enhance their skills and capabilities
• Make day-to-day decisions affecting branch performance and overall profitability, including personnel management, market feedback integration, and material sourcing decisions
• Oversee inventory levels to determine optimal stock levels while meeting corporate goals for on-time delivery
• Address discrepancies in invoicing, packaging, quality, and delivery, implementing preventive measures for future occurrences
• Manage inventory through typical up-and-down cycles, ensuring the right product mix at the right time

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain management, or related field considered an asset
• 3-5 years of experience in the wood products industry, with a focus on purchasing
• 1-2 years of experience as a Demand Planner or similar role
• 3-5 years of direct supervisory or management experience
• Experience in conducting meetings and delivering presentations

Salary:

• $75,000 to $90,000 per year based on experience
