Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health(LLGAMH) offers services and programs to people who are experiencing addiction and/or mental health issues. Our main site is located in Brockville, Ontariowhich is found along the beautiful St. Lawrence River in the heart of the famous 1000 Islands Region. LLGAMH has offices throughout the counties of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville including Brockville, Smiths Falls, Kemptville, Prescott, Gananoque and more. Lanark, Leeds and Grenville represent a population of over 170,000 residents, with the majority living in rural environments.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, and working collaboratively with the Facilities and IT Manager, the Data Analyst works collaboratively with the management team as a resource supporting operational and strategic decision-making and planning to maximize client service and meet accountabilities required by funders. The incumbent is responsible for the provision of statistical data and decision support analysis, management of data quality, administration of risk-management initiatives, support for continuous quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to the Agencies’ ability to achieve identified strategic objectives. Data analysis knowledge is key in order to prepare accurate, meaningful information and maintain data integrity and quality.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides Statistical Data and Decision Support Analysis: Analyzes and compiles data from a variety of sources within clinical databases into meaningful information to support informed, evidence-based, operational and strategic decisions
- Prepares quarterly service data reporting in conjunction with the Jr Financial Analyst for quarterly report submissions to funders
- Prepares annual CAPS (budget) service targets in conjunction with Jr Financial Analyst and clinical management for annual submission to funders
- Provides database and system development to meet program additions and/or improvements and resolve data quality/integrity issues, ensuring the system is meeting requirements
- Coordinates with Client Services Leadership Team to ensure accurate completion of the Ontario Common Assessment of Need (OCAN)
- Reviews release notes and product upgrade and update documentation of clinical systems to analyze impact if any to end users.
- Create/update system documentation and end user guides as needed.
- Provide incidental guidance, training and/or education in the best use of the clinical systems
Education, Experience and Skills
Required:
- Three-Year College Diploma in Business Administration or Information Technology
- Up to three years’ experience in the provision of decision support, preferably in a community service or health care organization
- Advanced knowledge and experience (macros, scripts) with databases and business software tools including PowerBI, Excel
- Well-developed abilities in statistical analysis and report generation
- Demonstrated ability to carry out special studies / projects that require independent judgment and initiative'
- Ability to learn new and diverse business software packages
- Ability to work with large data sets to produce concise readable reports for decision support
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to function as a team member, as well as independently as needed
- Excellent organizational, project management, and customer service skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
- A clear understanding of, and ability to demonstrate professional ethics, boundaries, and judgement
- A satisfactory Criminal Reference Check
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (2 doses)
Preferred:
- Hospital/healthcare experience in decision support/informatics/case costing with knowledge of OHRS/MIS would be an asset
- Working knowledge of EMHware and DATIS preferred; functional knowledge of electronic medical records systems in general is considered an asset
- Familiarity with business intelligence platforms and other reporting tools
- Knowledge of programing languages (Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and platform tools.
