Our educators use and develop best practices through meaningful and purposeful collaboration and inquiry. As lifelong learners themselves, our educators embrace diversity, apply assessment for learning approaches, and integrate technology in meaningful ways to personalize learning. Successful candidates will demonstrate a willingness to embrace and share the district’s commitments outlined above and model its principles in their practice.The successful candidate will have: Minimum requirement of a Master’s Degree in School Psychology or related field, with a focus on School Psychology, including graduate training and recent experience with administration, scoring and interpretation of up to and including Level C Cognitive, Academic, and Socio-emotional measures as part of the psycho-educational assessment process Eligible for membership with the BC Association of School Psychologists or registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia Demonstrated ability to provide consultation with parents, teachers and School Based Teams regarding student strengths and needs, educational implications and related strategies in line with RTI and Universal Design for Learning frameworks Demonstrated ability to provide in-service on assessment as well as strategies and interventions in line with the principles of Inclusive Education Knowledge of the BC Ministry of Education Special Education Policies and Procedures A valid BC Driver’s Licence and vehicle as travel throughout the district is requiredTo Apply: School District 71 welcomes diverse candidates and encourages applications from members of groups experiencing barriers to equity.
