As a pivotal member of our kitchen staff, you'll play a crucial role in preparing and delivering delicious breakfast dishes that have delighted our guests and kept them coming back for more all day breakfast and lunch for over 20 years.
Responsibilities:
- Menu Execution: Prepare breakfast and lunch dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality with every order.
- Food Preparation: Preparing ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, cracking eggs, and cooking meats, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Cooking Techniques: Utilize various cooking methods, including grilling, frying, poaching eggs, and sautéing, to create our famous menu items.
- Food Safety: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage, handling, and temperature control of ingredients.
- Station Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including stocking ingredients, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with servers and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Quality Control: Inspect food items for freshness and quality, discarding any items that do not meet our standards.
- Menu Development: Contribute ideas for new breakfast menu items or specials, collaborating with management to enhance our offerings.
- Efficiency: Work efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Problem Solving: Address any issues or discrepancies with orders promptly, communicating effectively with Team Members to resolve problems.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Prior experience as a cook in a breakfast restaurant or similar establishment is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food presentation.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with all staff members to achieve common goals.
- Flexibility: Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Handler's Permit: Obtain or possess a valid food handler's permit.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
